Cole's quote of the day!

I thought this was pretty funny this morning so I thought I would share it with all of you! This morning, while unsuccessfully trying to balance my check book, I asked Cole to take Joey into the playroom and show him how to make a tower with his blocks. Cole's response... "I don't know how to make towers, I only know how to make a mess."

Memorial Weekend

We had a really fun weekend, which went way to fast! We decided that it was time to get rid of the carpet in our main bathroom on Saturday. Carpet in bathrooms especially with little boys just doesn't work. So after a year of living here you can guess, it was time! So we didn't know exactly what to expect under the carpet, but we were hoping it was doable until we could buy some new flooring. It was pretty 70's I tell ya! Bright green, which really matched the tub well! The kids thought it was pretty cool and after it was all cleaned up it really doesn't look bad, other than it's ugly, but in good shape and clean, no pee smell in there anymore thank goodness! There was tack strip around the whole edge so there are little nail/staple holes in it, but it will work for now!

Later that day we went to a friends for a BBQ and to watch the UFC Fight. It was great seeing our friends Zac and Mandy and their son Cael, he is such a cutie! Sunday morning we woke up and went to church in Mabton, to make the most of the drive we decided to stay the night up at Mimi and Pappy's. The kids have been missing them a lot since we can't get up there as much as we like to (gas ugh). We BBQ'ed there some salmon and halibut my Dad had caught in Alaska last fall! It was great! The kids played with their cousins, ran in the sprinklers (sorry I forgot my camera) and had a blast! Monday we had a pretty relaxing day, Mike got to go golfing with some friends, and I got to visit with my Mom and Sister. We played some rummy with Dad and beat him bad! LOL Sorry Dad! Later that afternoon Em and I and the kids headed to Prosser where we went to some friends from church's for another BBQ. Again it was great and the food was great and being with our church family is always great! I really wish I wouldn't have forgotten my camera! Here is a picture of the group at the BBQ on Monday! So the weather held out, we ate a lot, got to visit family and friends and just had a great weekend!

Oh and I can't forget to add these! In continuation of the Joey climbing story. Friday morning Cole and I made some brownies and then I had to "quickly" step outside to check a sprinkler. While I was out, Joey climbed up on the chair that Cole had been using and helped himself to the batter bowl! Yum yum! When I came in he had the biggest smile on his chocolate covered face! What a kid!

Boy am I in for it!

Well, the day has come! Joey has decided that the funnest thing to do is to crawl onto a chair and onto the middle of the table to grab the light! I think I am going to have my hands full with this one! He gets such a thrill out of it too. I have to scoot all of the chairs in really tight so he can't get up. Just look at his little face, so full of delight! This is not the first time I caught him doing this either, he actually got in trouble for doing it earlier today. I had to capture this on camera though! So as he is climbing he is grinning and saying cheese at the same time.

Back to Life!

Posted by Picasa
I just had the most amazing weekend! I was able to go on the annual Women's Retreat with my fellow church ladies from Mabton Grace Brethren Church. It was amazing! I learned so much. I am coming home refreshed and with a new passion for the Lord. I think having that time to reflect without having kids jumping all over me was much needed! I was able to see all of the wonderful things that the Lord has blessed me with and am learning to not dwell on the small stuff! It was great to come home to my wonderful family! They had a great weekend with Dad, fishing, eating out probably watching to much TV, all that good stuff! I was pretty impressed when he told me he took them all to Applebees for dinner one night! Just him and the kids, I wouldn't even do that :) So thanks to my great husband and kids for letting me take this great weekend. I think Dad's ready for one now! : )

Gracie and Stunt Man Cole!

This isn't the greatest video, but I thought it was quite entertaining! Mike had Gracie and Cole out last week after he got home from work where Gracie was showing him what she had FINALLY learned that day! (after a bike crash almost two years ago, it has been hard to even get her to ride her bike.) But Yeah!! Gracie is riding with no training wheels. She was determined that day to do this, with a little pushing from me:) And then stunt man Cole decided he wanted his training wheels off too. I think he could have probably figured it out, but we couldn't find his helmet and I was a little worried about him due to his Stunt Man nature! So if you can get past the bad video (cell phone) I hope you get a smile or laugh from this!

Jump Rope Queen!

Okay, well this is as good as I could get. I tried and tried to get a video on here that is hilarious because of the things being said, but it wouldn't work for me for some reason. So here is a clip from my digital camara, sorry not that clear and no sound. It was pretty funny to watch her. She gets a little frustrated, and mad when I laugh (I know it's mean of me to laugh) but I can hardly contain myself. I think she gets her lack of patience from me for sure! It was beautiful out today. Sunny warm, and we even saw some ducks taking a break and swimming in our pool. Well, on the pool cover anyway! The kids are loving the warmer weather! Today we went to the park for lunch and they actually complained because they said they were too hot. Here are some pictures of the kids having fun in the backyard today!

New Template!

So as my friend Ali did, I decided it was time for a change. I found this from her link in her blog and I'm giving a shout out to say Thanks to the lady at http://cutestblogontheblock.blogspot.com The layouts are super cute and they are free best of all! I may just have to change this on a regular basis! Okay Joey said it's time for him to get up, he is the one shouting out now, so gotta run. Still working on the video clip of Gracie jump roping, not having much luck!
