What a beautiful weekend we had! We decided it was really time to get the yard ready for spring! Gracie and I potted some flowers while Mike and Cole worked on the fence they are building around the pool, and Joey was fascinated by the dirt. It kept him entertained for hours! Cole woke up that morning before anyone else and when I came out he was sitting on the couch with his "work-a-do" overalls on and said he was ready to work with Dad! "I'm gonna help him build the fence" I hope he always wants to work with Dad!
After the flowers were all planted the kids started getting hot and decided it was time for a swim. I cleaned the sandbox out and filled it with water and they had a blast! We ended the night with a BBQ and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit! Summer felt like it was right around the corner!
On Sunday Mike decided he was going to tackle another huge project that we need to get done. The cottonwood tree has to go! When the cotton starts dropping in late May/early June it is like Snow in the summer. It's such a nuisance. So he climbed the tree with is chain saw and started going to town. His plan it to leave enough tree for a really cool tree house. We'll see. After bringing down the first three huge branches successfully the fourth crashed into the fence. Another thing to add to our list today! The neighbors were all so excited they didn't care how much fence came down! They were all standing by willing to lend a hand! Well the tree is half way down. The really hard stuff remains. But I will post some pictures when it's all done! The kids were a little scared when Daddy was in the tree, and I have to say I was too. So we all decided to pray that Daddy would not get hurt! With the sun going down and the fence repaired we called it a day! I think we were all exhausted! So it was quite a weekend! And then we woke up today to rain. Weird weather!

Shave and a haircut.... two bits
BEFORE
Joey had his first haircut today. I hated to cut off the curls, but it was just getting a little to bushy in the back! He did so great. Sat up in the race car like he had done it a million times. He was a little scared when she pulled out the hair dryer, but other than that, he did awsome! I always dread the first haircut because I feel like my boys go from babies to little boys in minutes. It was bittersweet. It looks so cute though! I think
he likes it too!AFTER
Who said "Three's a crowd"
It sure feels like spring! We got the Barbie Jeep battery charged up and they were off. They all managed to fit and even though they were a little squished, I really don't think they seemed to mind! "Look Mom no hands!"

Sneaky Cole
This morning when I woke up to get Gracie out of bed for school I noticed the boys bedroom door was open. Hmmm wierd, where's Cole, he wasn't in bed, he wasn't on the couch, he hadn't gotten into our bed. Well, I opened Gracie's door and there he was. Tucked in snuggly beside his Sis! Made my heart melt. What a good way to start the day, knowing your kids love each other!

Easter Sunday
I wanted to share some Easter pictures with all of you. We had a great time celebrating at church Easter morning and then headed up to Mimi and Pappy's for some good BBQ burgers! It was great. The kids had a blast playing with all of their cousins! Joey and Avery slept through the egg hunt, but a special one was set up for them when they woke up. The wind about blew them off their feet, but they didn't seem to mind. It's funny, Joey never has done this before, but he sure seemed to know what he was doing!

Gracie truns 6
Well, my little girl has turned 6! It's amazing how fast time flies! We celebrated with dinner and dessert of her choice on the 12th of March. She wanted spaghetti and blueberry pie! I was shocked to find that it is quite a bit cheaper to buy a blueberry pie than make one, but hey that made my life easier! She also got to have a birthday party with her friends and family on Saturday. It was a Tinkerbell party! That's her favorite thing at the moment, and it was a combined party with her cousin Faith! The kids had a blast! Presents, pizza, pinatas, and lots and lots of cake! She also got her ears pierced for the big event! I was a little hesitant to let her do it but her Dad gave in and told her she could! Isn't he supposed to be the strong one! : ) Ooh, and I forgot to mention that she also lost her first tooth! Crazy times! She was pretty excited! She has been saying it was loose since the day she turned 5! She was sure that everyone lost a tooth when they turned five!
