Father Daughter Ball

Gracie looks forward to this night all year long! She was so excited today she could hardly contain herself! The Father Daughter Ball! Mike has taken her every year since she was a year old. I think they have only missed one year. They make a special night of it, going out to dinner and then dancing! She hasn't gotten home yet, I'm sure she will keep her Daddy dancing as long as she can! She is so blessed to have such a wonderful father who does these special things with her! These memories will last a life time!
Uncle Steve and cousin Faith went with them!

Special corsage from Dad! I hope she feels like a princess! :)

Catching up!

One of the boys favorite things to do is race to get Dad's boots off when he gets home. Eli has started getting in on the action and is getting pretty good! It's fierce competition at the Isley house!
Cole has his first wrestling tournament on Saturday. He got his singlet last night at practice and was SO excited to show me! He is very excited for Saturday and so are we!

Morning cuddle!
For Gracie's birthday Connie and Bruce (Grandma and Papa) helped us re-do her bedroom! It is soooo cute now! Thanks guys! Here are a few before pictures of the blah room.

And here it is after! Pink walls, new chair rail and new base boards! Adorable! A few new pieces of furniture too! Now I just need to find her a white dresser to replace the old one!

Happy 6th Birthday Cole!

Cole Michael Isley born February 17th, 2004!
We took a few of Cole's friends and went to Chuck-E-Cheese for his birthday! To be honest I was dreading it because that place can be soooooo crazy, but Wednesday night was a great night to go! We played and played, had pizza, ate cupcakes and opened presents! I can't believe Cole is 6 years old! He is growing up so fast! What an amazing little boy he is! I wish I had taken some better pictures, but oh well, here they are! I was a little busy chasing Eli the monster around! He was happy as long as he was going or had cake in his hand! :)
He made quick work of opening presents!

Party Time!

Joseph William Isley 2/1/07 9:07pm

My JoJo as he is so lovingly called around here turned 3 years old on Monday. We had a party for him on Saturday along with Avery! It was a lot of craziness and chaos, but so much fun! We had cake and ice cream, opened presents (with lots of help) and had a pinata! I think the kids were as worn out as I was! Can't believe he is 3! He is such an amazing kid! So full of laughter and smiles and spunk! He definitely keeps me on my toes! I love you JoJo! :)
Lots of helpers to help him open his presents!

Avery got tons and tons of dress up stuff. One thing she got was a wedding dress and a ring. Joey took the ring in and said Avery you are marrying me, or something like that! Anyway, I couldn't find my camera at the time to video tape it but Em got some pictures of his first proposal! LOL

Hockey Game!

Mike and I took Gracie and Cole to their very first Hockey game and it was a blast! Here are a few pictures and some video that tells it all!

When they play the song "Cotton eyed Joe" the boys all rip their shirts off and twirl them around over their heads. Well Mike told Cole about this before we got there and he was soooo excited! It was hilarious! Gracie and Cole were up getting Winger's (the mascot) autograph when the song started playing, but I turned around to look in the direction they had headed in and there's Cole with a HUGE smile on his face swinging his shirt around! Then I was "chosen" to run in a hamster ball during one of the breaks. I was laughing so hard I could hardly see, and of course as you can see in the video could not stay on my feet! I got a little help from Winger and still lost! Oh well, we were playing for the big prize of a T-shirt which we both won, so no pressure right! :) I also got a pack of player trading cards and some other goodies for the kids! We had a blast and will definitely be doing this again!

Pixie Dust?!

Graice lost another tooth last night. She was so excited! She left a note for the Tooth Fairy that asked her to leave Gracie some pixie dust if she could! So guess what the Tooth Fairy did and Gracie was sooooo excited! She said "Mom, if I save up enough of this from the next few teeth I lose, maybe I could get enough so I could fly!"

Happy New Year!

We had such a great time over the New Years weekend. We went to Seabrook with Mike's family and went clamming. It was a little different from before because the low tides were at night! The first night it was windy and rainy and we only got 12 clams, but the second night was gorgeous! No wind or rain and there were stars up in the sky! We limited out that night and had a blast!
Cole was very intent on figuring out how to clean those clams! He was a great helper. Gracie learned how to run the vacuum sealer and was a great help doing that. I think it took us about two hours to clean the 104 clams we got the second night.
This toy entertained everyone for hours! What a bunch of goofs!
We got to spend a lot of time at the park on Saturday because it didn't rain much that day. The kids roasted marshmallows over the huge fire pit and played on the toys! A little hot tub time was great when we got back!
Aunt Mary brought some noise makers for New Years Eve, we decided to do them over the fire pit and it was hilarious to watch the kids faces as they tried to get them to go off! One family brought some great fireworks and shared them with us at the park on Saturday night! They were amazing!!
The beach was so much fun! Even Eli got down and played, he loved it! The kids found all sorts of shells! Cole kept scaring us being the dare devil that he is by getting close to the tide and then running away fast before it got him!

Happy New Year! Three out of my four kids made it to bring in the New Year with a toast! My niece Faith fell asleep before midnight and then we tried to wake her up to celebrate and she was NOT HAPPY!! LOL, it was pretty funny to us, but I don't think she thought it was very funny!
